Describe your vibe in 3 words.

Passionate, loyal & generous.

Elle, what keeps you inspired?

I think there's a few things. One is looking back and seeing how far I've come... that's a really big one for me. Another is when I see people in my team kicking personal goals too, but the biggest thing is obviously just building the best life I can for my little boy, Easton.

How has the salon evolved since it first opened?

A lot haha! When I first opened the salon I had no idea what I was doing. it's completely different now. I think the salon has evolved over the years as i've evolved.

What's your coffee order?

Skinny Cap, sometimes extra strong depending on the day haha.

What is your dream travel destination?

An African safari or a white Christmas somewhere.

What inspired you to become a hairdresser?

I remember sitting and doing my interview for my apprenticeship and being asked the same question and it was the same answer then as it is now... I want help people to beautiful like I do when I leave a hair salon.

What's currently on your playlist?

Luke Combs, always, I don't really listen to anything else.

What's been your proudest achievement so far?

It's so hard to pick just one thing. There's been lots of amazing achievements over the years, but I think seeing all the girls hit their goals, especially their personal goals and doing what I can to support those is the proudest I feel

If you weren't a hairdresser, what would you be doing?

Interior designer, 100%!

What's your favourite thing about your clients?

I just think the most rewarding part of our job is when clients feel so open and comfortable to talk to us and let us into their lives.

What’s your #1 tip for someone nervous to try a new look?

My biggest thing would be, don't listen to what other people tell you to do with your hair, just do what you want to do!

How would you describe the culture at Scissor & Stone?

I want our culture to be that everyone genuinely cares about each other in the team, and really cares about their clients too.

What's your favourite way to unwind after a big day in the salon?

Wine. Full stop.

What's a fun fact about you?

I've been to 24 countries and 21 US states.

How do you want people to feel after sitting in your chair?

Like the absolute best version of themselves!

Guilty pleasure TV Show?

I have far too many haha, love The Kardasians, all The Real House Wives, anything reality.

What inspired you to open Scissor & Stone?

My biggest inspiration was that I wanted to create a salon that I would want to work in, and I wanted to kind of change the way things were done in the industry in some regards.

What does a typical day in the salon look like for you these days?

So usually I have lots of meetings with our Leadership team, with brand reps, with the team etc. My main focus is working on the back end of the salon, running all our numbers, organising education, supporting Yasmine with education, Lorren with managing the team, George with marketing and just really focusing on how we can elevate and grow as a business all the time. On my days where I'm based in the salon I also act as a support to the team on the floor and jump in wherever they need my help.

What's your spirit animal & why?

Well, I wasn't sure so I asked ChatGPT and it says a wolf so that's what we are going with.

What's your top 3 favourite movies?

A Star is Born is my absolute favourite, and then I'm not really a huge movie girl to be honest, I'm more into series.
