Describe your vibe in 3 words.

Well, i'm a Gemini so I have two different personalities haha so Gemini is one of them. I'd also say creative and attentive.

Chels, what's your proudest moment as a stylist so far?

Getting the job here at Scissor & Stone becauce I've never worked in a salon that believes hairdressing is a career like it is here, lots of other places are under the mentality that "oh you're just a hairdresser" but here it's very different. So it's really gone from being just a job to a career, which is so special. And then, also when I got to go to Sydney to see Chris Appleton with Elle, that was a wow moment!

What do you love most about doing hair?

How creative I can be, whether it's styling, colouring, extensions or cutting. And, I also love seeing clients reactions to their hair.

What's your coffee order?

Green juice or chocolate coconut water.

What is your dream travel destination?

The Maldives, definitely.

What inspired you to become a hairdresser?

My Mum was a hairdresser, so probably growing up watching her, and then I also felt like it was really the only thing I was ever good at.

What's currently on your playlist?

My top listened to is probably Milky Chance.

If you weren't a hairdresser, what would you be doing?

Probably an interior designer, with an unlimited budget haha.

What's your favourite thing about your clients?

That I have such a good relationship with them all, I love seeing them and getting all the life updates like I'm their therapist haha, it's great!

What’s your #1 tip for someone nervous to try a new look?

There's always extensions haha, and you can always dye it back.

What's your favourite way to unwind after a big day in the salon?

Going for a sauna and a swim.

What's a secret talent or party trick you have?

I always manage to sneak a souvenir out from a restaurant or somewhere on a night out haha!

How do you want people to feel after sitting in your chair?

Pampered and relaxed, that they walk out feeling like a new person.

Guilty pleasure TV Show?

Gossip Girl.

What's your signature hair look or go-to technique?

I love doing blowdries with a brush, like a really good twisty blowdry, and then colour transformations and extensions!

What's a hair myth you wish people would stop believing?

Not so much a myth, but when people believe influencers who are using supermarket products saying it's the best their hair has ever felt. Don't listen to that PLEASE, they are getting paid to say that haha.

What's your spirit animal & why?

Probably a tiger, because my Chinese New Year is the year of the tiger, and I've always been a little fiesty haha.

What's your top 3 favourite movies?

I love Shrek, I love Harry Potter and How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days.
