Describe your vibe in 3 words.

Presentable, friendly & creative (on the right day haha!)

Alyssa, what's the best part of your day in the salon?

The girls dancing in the morning to the hype songs or whatever it may be, I love that it sets the mood for the day.

What's your secret to staying organised?

Using my lovely diary that Georgia bought me hah so always making a note so things don’t slip my mind or when I come in the following day I’m set up, I need that visual organisation and having that set up in front of me really helps.

What's your coffee order?

Nil, nil coffee haha I'm just a standard English breakfast tea girl.

What is your dream travel destination?

Finland, Santas grotto in the snow at Christmas time with my family.

What is one thing you wish clients knew about Scissor & Stone?

An emphasis and understanding on one on one as it’s such a unique offering, that’s really something that not many salons offer and our pricing reflects that. I don’t think people realise that it’s so rare to have one person throughout your whole service at such a high standard, you just don’t get that in other places.

What's currently on your playlist?

I’m loving Alex warren at the moment, a little bit of his older stuff too. Also, chappel roan thanks to my girls & tay tay, whatever the kids put on haha!

If you weren't doing what you do today, what would you be doing?

When I was really really young marine biologist or work with dolphins , which is odd because I don’t really like animals haha then when I older I really got into interior design so maybe if I had my time again design or architecture.

What beverage do you think we serve the most in the salon?

Oh coffee, everyone loves a coffee!

What’s the best compliment you have ever received at the front desk?

I LOVE YOUR HAIR haha I’m like thanks, I go to a great salon.

What's your favourite way to unwind after a big day in the salon?

Read a book… the entire book.

What's a secret talent or party trick you have?

I’m good at baking, don’t think it's a secret anymore haha I don’t know if this is still a party trick anymore because I haven’t done it for a long time but I could always do the worm, last time I did it I split my chin haha

What is your favourite part of the S&S experience from a client perspective?

Exactly the same as earlier, having the one stylist, it’s very high end, when I was a client I used to love coming here because it felt such a luxury to treat myself and I always left with the best hair, no matter who I saw I was just always happy, the standard has just always been top.

Guilty pleasure TV Show?

I have no idea, I’m definitely more of a reader, I’ll read books over and over again, I love anything with some dirty smut in it haha, a good smutty fantasy!

What is something unexpected we would find in your handbag?

Oh, could be anything with the child I have haha I’m gonna say like a horse hair brush from the girls haha

What do you love about working with the team?

So many personalities, everyone is so different which is really nice, I actually haven’t worked in a work place that’s as big as S&S with so many different people and I just love that! They are all definitely a bit more outgoing than I am haha.

What's your spirit animal & why?

Probably a cat, that likes to lie there on the window sill with my book and clean, I like being clean!

What's your top 3 favourite movies?

Bridesmaids, the Harry Potter series and Sweet Home Alabama.

What's something people are always surprised to learn about you?

That I have an almost adult child haha.
